32(But he shall have oneהָאֶחָ֖דha.'e.ChadH259tribeוְהַשֵּׁ֥בֶטve.ha.She.vetH7626for my servantעַבְדִּ֣י'av.DiH5650David’sדָוִ֗דda.VidH1732sake, and for Jerusalem’sיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389sake, the cityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892which I have chosenבָּחַ֣רְתִּיba.Char.tiH977out of all the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֥יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478:)

33Because that they have forsakenעֲזָב֗וּנִי'a.za.Vu.niH5800me, and have worshippedוַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ֮vai.yish.ta.cha.VuH7812Ashtorethלְעַשְׁתֹּרֶת֮le.'ash.to.RetH6253the goddessאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Zidoniansצִֽדֹנִין֒tzi.do.NinH6722,Chemoshלִכְמוֹשׁ֙likh.mo.VoshH3645the godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the Moabitesמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124,and Milcomוּלְמִלְכֹּ֖םu.le.mil.KomH4445the godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Ammonעַמּ֑וֹןa.MonH5983,and have not walkedהָלְכ֣וּha.le.KhuH1980in my waysבִדְרָכַ֗יvid.ra.KhaiH1870,to doלַעֲשׂ֨וֹתla.'a.SotH6213that which isrightהַיָּשָׁ֧רhai.ya.SharH3477in mine eyesבְּעֵינַ֛יbe.'ei.NaiH5869, and to keepmy statutesוְחֻקֹּתַ֥יve.chu.ko.TaiH2708and my judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941, as didDavidכְּדָוִ֥דke.da.VidH1732his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1.

34Howbeit I will not takeאֶקַּ֥ח'e.KachH3947the whole kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָ֖הha.mam.la.KhahH4467out of his handמִיָּד֑וֹmi.ya.DoH3027:but I will makeאֲשִׁתֶ֗נּוּ'a.shi.Te.nuH7896him princeנָשִׂ֣יאna.Si'H5387all the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of his lifeחַיָּ֔יוchai.YavH2416for Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732my servant’sעַבְדִּי֙'av.DiH5650sake, whom I choseבָּחַ֣רְתִּיba.Char.tiH977,because he keptשָׁמַ֖רsha.MarH8104my commandmentsמִצְוֹתַ֥יmitz.vo.TaiH4687and my statutesוְחֻקֹּתָֽי׃ve.chu.ko.TaiH2708:

35But I will takeוְלָקַחְתִּ֥יve.la.kach.TiH3947the kingdomהַמְּלוּכָ֖הha.me.lu.KhahH4410out of his son’sבְּנ֑וֹbe.NoH1121handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027,and will giveוּנְתַתִּ֣יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414it unto thee, eventenעֲשֶׂ֥רֶת'a.Se.retH6235tribesהַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃ha.she.va.TimH7626.

36And unto his sonוְלִבְנ֖וֹve.liv.NoH1121will I giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414oneאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259tribeשֵֽׁבֶט־she.vet-H7626,that Davidלְדָֽוִיד־le.da.vid-H1732my servantעַ֠בְדִּי'Av.diH5650may have a lightנִ֣ירnirH5216alwayהַיָּמִ֤ים׀hai.ya.MimH3117beforeלְפָנַי֙le.fa.NaiH6440me in Jerusalemבִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םbi.Ru.sha.LimH3389,the cityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892which I have chosenבָּחַ֣רְתִּיba.Char.tiH977me to putלָשׂ֥וּםla.SumH7760my nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034there.

37And I will takeאֶקַּ֔ח'e.KachH3947thee, and thou shalt reignוּמָ֣לַכְתָּ֔u.Ma.lakh.taH4427according to all that thy soulנַפְשֶׁ֑ךָnaf.She.khaH5315desirethתְּאַוֶּ֖הte.'a.VehH183,and shalt be kingמֶּ֖לֶךְMe.lekhH4428over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

38And it shall be, if thou wilt hearkenתִּשְׁמַע֮tish.Ma'H8085unto all that I commandאֲצַוֶּךָ֒'a.tza.ve.KhaH6680thee, and wilt walkוְהָלַכְתָּ֣ve.ha.lakh.TaH1980in my waysבִדְרָכַ֗יvid.ra.KhaiH1870,and doוְעָשִׂ֨יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213that isrightהַיָּשָׁ֤רhai.ya.SharH3477in my sightבְּעֵינַי֙be.'ei.NaiH5869,to keepלִשְׁמ֤וֹרlish.MorH8104my statutesחֻקּוֹתַי֙chu.ko.TaiH2708and my commandmentsוּמִצְוֹתַ֔יu.mitz.vo.TaiH4687,as Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my servantעַבְדִּ֑י'av.DiH5650didעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213;that I will be with thee, and buildוּבָנִ֨יתִיu.va.Ni.tiH1129thee a sureנֶאֱמָן֙ne.'e.ManH539houseבַֽיִת־va.yit-H1004,as I builtבָּנִ֣יתִיba.Ni.tiH1129for Davidלְדָוִ֔דle.da.VidH1732,and will giveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478unto thee.

39And I will for this afflictוַֽאעַנֶּ֛הva.'a.NehH6031the seedזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732,but not for everהַיָּמִֽים׃ סhai.ya.MimH3117.
