Context of Hebrews 10:14
12But Christ, our special priest, offered one sacrifice to take away our sins. He did that once, for all time. After that, he sat down at God's right side to rule with him. 13Since then, he waits for God to win against his enemies completely. They will become like a place for him to put his feet. So, as a result of his one sacrifice, Christ has made God's people completely clean for all time. 15God's Holy Spirit also shows us that these things are true. He says this first: 16‘The Lord God says: After the time of the old agreement, I will make a new agreement with my people. It will be like this: I will put my laws deep inside them. I will put them into their thoughts.’

- Hebrews 10:1God's laws which he gave to Moses are like a shadow of the good things that would come later. But those laws do not show exactly what those good things are like. They say that the priests must continue to offer the same sacrifices on behalf of the people, year after year. So those sacrifices can never make the people completely clean when they come to worship God.
- Hebrews 7:19God's Laws that he gave to Moses could not make anything completely right. But now God has brought us something better to hope for. And in that way, we ourselves can come near to God.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 14For by one offering - His death upon the cross. He hath perfected for ever - He has procured remission of sins and holiness; fur it is well observed here, and in several parts of this epistle, that , to make perfect, is the same as ̔ , to procure remission of sins. Them that are sanctified - ̔· Them that have received the sprinkling of the blood of this offering. These, therefore, receiving redemption through that blood, have no need of any other…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 14For by one offering - By offering himself once on the cross. The Jewish priest offered his sacrifices often, and still they did not avail to put away sin; the Saviour made one sacrifice, and it was sufficient for the sins of the world. He hath perfected forever - He hath laid the foundation of the eternal perfection. The offering is of such a character that it secures their final freedom from sin, and will make them forever holy. It cannot mean that those…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 11-18Verses 11-18 Under the new covenant, or gospel dispensation, full and final pardon is to be had. This makes a vast difference between the new covenant and the old one. Under the old, sacrifices must be often repeated, and after all, only pardon as to this world was to be obtained by them. Under the new, one Sacrifice is enough to procure for all nations and ages, spiritual pardon, or being freed from punishment in the world to come. Well might this be…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1414. For--The sacrifice being "for ever" in its efficacy (He 10:12) needs no renewal. them that are sanctified--rather as Greek, "them that are being sanctified." The sanctification (consecration to God) of the elect (1Pe 1:2) believers is perfect in Christ once for all (see on He 10:10). (Contrast the law, He 7:19; 9:9; 10:1). The development of that sanctification is progressive.Read the comment
