Context of Matthew 12:18
16and warned them not to tell [publicly] who He was. 17This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul is well-pleased; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will proclaim justice to the nations. 19He will not quarrel, nor cry out loudly; Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. 20A battered reed He will not break, And a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, Until He leads justice to victory.
