Context of Ephesians 1:20
18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the richness of His glorious inheritance in the kedoshim, 19and what is His exceedingly great power toward us who keep trusting Him—in keeping with the working of His mighty strength. This power He exercised in Messiah when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in heaven. 21He is far above any ruler, authority, power, leader, and every name that is named—not only in the olam ha-zeh but also in the olam ha-ba . 22God placed all things under Messiah’s feet and appointed Him as head over all things for His community—

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 20Set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places - Gave him, as mediator between God and man, the highest honors and dignities, Philemon 2:9; in which state of exaltation he transacts all the affairs of his Church, and rules the universe. - Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 20Which he wrought in Christ - Which he exerted in relation to the Lord Jesus when he was dead. The “power” which was then exerted was as great as that of creation. It was imparting life to a cold and “mangled” frame. It was to open again the arteries and veins, and teach the heart to beat and the lungs to heave. It was to diffuse vital warmth through the rigid muscles, and to communicate to the body the active functions of life. It is impossible to…Read the comment

Paul wanted to experience the power of Christ's resurrection in his own life (Philippians 3:10).
