Context of 2 Corinthians 4:1
For this reason, since we have this ministry, just as we received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2Instead, we renounced the hidden shameful ways—not walking in deception or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by the open proclamation of the truth. 3And even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

We faint not - We meet with many tribulations, but are supported in and through all by the grace of the Gospel. Instead of , we faint not, , we act not wickedly, is the reading of ADFG, and some others. Wakefield thinks it the genuine reading; it certainly makes a very good sense with what goes before and what follows. If we follow this…Read the comment

That is, because the light of the gospel is so clear; because it reveals so glorious truths, and all obscurity is taken away, and we are permitted to behold as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, 2 Corinthians 3:18.
