Zechariah 2
Revised Version 1895
1And I liftedH5375 upH5375 mine eyesH5869, and sawH7200, and beholdH2009 a manH7200 with a measuring line in his hand. 2Then saidH559 I, Whither goest thou? And he saidH559 unto meH413, To measure JerusalemH3389, to seeH834 whatH4100 is the breadth thereof, and whatH4100 is the length thereof. 3And, beholdH7200, the angel that talked with meH7200 went forth, and another angel went outH7200 to meet him, 4and saidH559 unto him, Run, speakH559 to this young manH376, sayingH559, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages withoutH3808 walls, by reasonH834 of the multitude of menH376 and cattle therein. 5For I, saith the LORD, will be unto herH7200 a wall of fire round aboutH5375, and I will be the glory in the midst of herH7200. 6Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spreadH1980 youH859 abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. 7Ho Zion, escapeH3318, thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. 8For thus saith the LORD of hosts: AfterH413 glory hath he sentH559 meH413 unto the nations whichH929 spoiled youH413: for he that toucheth youH413 toucheth the apple of his eye. 9For, behold, I will shake mine hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to thoseH1961 that servedH1961 them: and ye shall know that the LORDH3068 of hosts hath sent meH589. 10Sing and rejoice, O daughter of ZionH6566: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORDH3068. 11And many nations shall joinH3427 themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my peopleH3427: and I will dwellH3427 in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. 12And the LORDH3068 shall inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose JerusalemH3519. 13Be silent, allH3045 flesh, beforeH5921 the LORDH3068: for he is waked upH5921 outH7971 of his holy habitation.
