Revised Version 1895
Malachi 1:6-9
6A sonH1121 honoureth his fatherH1, and a servantH5650 his masterH113: ifH518 then I be a fatherH1, whereH346 is mine honour? and ifH518 I be a masterH113, whereH346 is my fearH4172? saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 unto youH518, O priestsH3548, that despiseH959 my nameH8034. And ye sayH559, Wherein have weH518 despisedH959 thy nameH8034?
7Ye offer polluted breadH3899 uponH5921 mine altarH4196. And ye sayH559, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye sayH559, The tableH7979 of the LORDH3068 is contemptible.
8And when ye offerH7126 the blindH5787 for sacrificeH2076, it is noH369 evilH7451! and when ye offerH7126 the lameH6455 and sickH2470, it is noH369 evilH7451! PresentH7126 it nowH4994 unto thy governorH6346; will he be pleasedH7521 with thee? or will he acceptH7521 thy personH7126? saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
9And nowH6258, I prayH4994 youH6440, entreatH2470 the favour of GodH410, that he may be gracious unto usH4994: this hath been by your meansH3027: will he accept anyH4480 of your persons? saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
