Revised Version 1895
Hosea 2:5-9
5for their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go afterH3117 my lovers, that giveH3205 meH7760 my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
6Therefore, beholdH3808, I will hedge upH853 thy way with thorns, and I will makeH3588 a fence against herH3588, that sheH3588 shall notH3808 findH7355 herH3588 paths.
7And sheH3588 shall followH310 afterH310 herH5414 loversH157, but sheH3588 shall notH3588 overtake them; and sheH3588 shall seek them, but shall notH3588 findH5414 them: then shall sheH3588 sayH559, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with meH5414 thanH3588 nowH3588.
8For sheH3808 didH3808 notH3808 know that I gave herH3651 the corn, and the wine, and the oil, and multiplied unto herH3651 silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
9Therefore will I takeH7725 backH7725 my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will pluck awayH7725 my wool and my flax which should have covered herH413 nakedness.
