Daniel 3:8-23
Wherefore at that time certainH1400 ChaldeansH3779 cameH7127 nearH7127, and broughtH399 accusation againstH1768 the JewsH3062.
They answeredH6032 and saidH560 to NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957.
Thou, O kingH4430, hast madeH7761 a decreeH2942, that everyH3606 manH606 that shall hearH8086 the sound of the cornet, fluteH4953, harpH6460, sackbut, psalteryH6460, and dulcimer, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musicH2170, shall fallH5308 downH5308 and worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755:
and whoso falleth notH3809 downH5308 and worshippeth, shall be castH7412 intoH1459 the midstH1459 of a burning fiery furnaceH861.
There are certainH1400 JewsH3062 whomH1768 thou hast appointedH4483 over the affairs of the provinceH4083 of BabylonH895, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665; theseH479 menH1400, O kingH4430, have notH3809 regarded thee: they serveH6399 notH3809 thy godsH426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 whichH1768 thou hast setH6966 up.
Then NebuchadnezzarH5020 in his rageH7266 and fury commandedH560 to bringH858 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665. Then they broughtH858 theseH479 menH1400 beforeH6925 the kingH4430.
NebuchadnezzarH5020 answeredH6032 and saidH560 unto them, Is it of purpose, O ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, that ye serveH6399 notH3809 my godH426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 whichH1768 I have setH6966 up?
NowH3705 ifH2006 ye be readyH6263 that at whatH4479 time ye hearH8086 the sound of the cornet, fluteH4953, harpH6460, sackbut, psalteryH6460, and dulcimer, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musicH2170, ye fallH5308 downH5308 and worshipH5457 the imageH6755 whichH1768 I have madeH5648, well: but ifH2006 ye worshipH5457 notH3809, ye shall be castH7412 the same hour intoH1459 the midstH1459 of a burning fiery furnaceH861; and who is that GodH426 that shall deliverH7804 youH1768 outH5648 of my handsH3028?
ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, answeredH6032 and saidH560 to the kingH4430, O NebuchadnezzarH5020, weH586 have noH3809 needH2818 to answerH6600 thee in this matterH6600.
IfH2006 it be soH1768, our GodH426 whomH1768 weH586 serveH6399 is ableH3202 to deliverH7804 us from the burning fiery furnaceH861; and he will deliverH7804 us out of thine handH3028, O kingH4430.
But ifH2006 notH3809, be it knownH3046 unto thee, O kingH4430, that weH1768 will notH3809 serveH6399 thy godsH426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 whichH1768 thou hast setH6966 up.
Then was NebuchadnezzarH5020 full of fury, and the form of his visage was changedH8133 againstH5922 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665: therefore he spake, and commandedH560 that they should heatH228 the furnaceH861 sevenH7655 timesH2298 moreH5922 thanH1768 it was wont to be heatedH228.
And he commandedH560 certainH1400 mighty menH1400 that were in is armyH2429 to bind ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, and to castH7412 them intoH7412 the burning fiery furnaceH861.
Then theseH479 menH1400 were boundH3729 in their hosen, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other garments, and were castH7412 intoH1459 the midstH1459 of the burning fiery furnaceH861.
Therefore becauseH6903 the king’sH4430 commandment was urgentH2685, and the furnaceH861 exceeding hotH228, the flameH7631 of the fireH5135 slewH6992 thoseH479 menH1400 that took upH5267 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665.
And theseH479 threeH8532 menH1400, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, fellH5308 downH5308 boundH3729 intoH1459 the midstH1459 of the burning fiery furnaceH861.
