Revised Version 1895
Daniel 11:21-39
And in his placeH5414 shall standH5975 upH5975 a contemptible personH935, to whom they had notH3808 givenH5414 the honour of the kingdomH4438: but he shall comeH935 in time of security, and shall obtain the kingdomH4438 by flatteries.
And with the armsH2220 of a floodH7858 shall they be swept awayH7857 from beforeH6440 him, and shall be brokenH7665; yea, also the princeH5057 of the covenantH1285.
And afterH4480 the league madeH6213 with him he shall work deceitfullyH4820: for he shall comeH5927 upH5927, and shall become strongH6105, with a smallH4592 peopleH1471.
In time of security shall he comeH935 evenH5704 uponH5921 the fattest places of the provinceH4082; and he shall doH6213 that whichH834 his fathersH1 have notH3808 doneH6213, norH3808 his fathers’H1 fathersH1; he shall scatter among them prey, and spoilH7998, and substance: yea, he shall deviseH2803 his devices againstH5921 the strong holds, evenH5704 for a time.
And he shall stirH5782 upH5975 his powerH3581 and his courageH3824 againstH5921 the kingH4428 of the southH5045 with a greatH1419 armyH2428; and the kingH4428 of the southH5045 shall warH4421 in battleH4421 with an exceedingH3966 greatH1419 and mightyH6099 armyH2428: but he shall notH3808 standH5975, for they shall deviseH2803 devices againstH5921 him.
Yea, they that eatH398 of his meat shall destroyH7665 him, and his armyH2428 shall overflowH7857: and manyH7227 shall fallH5307 downH5307 slainH2491.
And as for bothH8147 theseH1696 kingsH4428, their heartsH3824 shall be to do mischief, and they shall speakH1696 liesH3577 at one tableH7979: but it shall notH3808 prosperH6743; for yet the endH7093 shall be at the time appointedH4150.
Then shall he returnH7725 intoH5921 his landH776 with greatH1419 substance; and his heartH3824 shall be againstH5921 the holyH6944 covenantH1285; and he shall doH6213 his pleasure, and returnH7725 to his own landH776.
At the time appointedH4150 he shall returnH7725, and comeH935 intoH935 the southH5045; but it shall notH3808 be in the latterH314 time as it was in the formerH7223.
For shipsH6716 of KittimH3794 shall comeH935 againstH5921 him; therefore he shall be grieved, and shall returnH7725, and have indignationH2194 againstH5921 the holyH6944 covenantH1285, and shall doH6213 his pleasure: he shall evenH6213 returnH7725, and have regardH995 unto them that forsakeH5800 the holyH6944 covenantH1285.
And armsH2220 shall standH5975 on his partH4480, and they shall profaneH2490 the sanctuaryH4720, even the fortressH4581, and shall takeH5493 awayH5493 the continualH8548 burnt offering; and they shall setH5414 upH5975 the abominationH8251 that maketh desolateH8074.
And such as doH6213 wickedlyH7561 against the covenantH1285 shall he pervert by flatteries: but the peopleH5971 that knowH3045 their GodH430 shall be strongH2388, and doH6213 exploits.
And they that be wiseH7919 among the peopleH5971 shall instructH5971 manyH7227: yet they shall fallH3782 by the swordH2719 and by flameH3852, by captivityH7628 and by spoilH961, manyH7227 daysH3117.
NowH7227 when they shall fallH3782, they shall be holpen with a littleH4592 helpH5826: but manyH7227 shall joinH3867 themselvesH5921 unto them with flatteries.
And someH4480 of them that be wiseH7919 shall fallH3782, to refineH6884 them, and to purifyH1305, and to makeH3588 them whiteH3835, evenH5704 to the time of the endH7093: becauseH3588 it is yet for the time appointedH4150.
And the kingH4428 shall doH6213 accordingH5921 to his will; and he shall exaltH7311 himselfH1431, and magnifyH1431 himselfH1431 aboveH5921 everyH3605 godH410, and shall speakH1696 marvelousH6381 things againstH5921 the GodH410 of godsH410: and he shall prosperH6743 tillH5704 the indignationH2195 be accomplishedH6213; for that which is determinedH2782 shall be doneH6213.
NeitherH3808 shall he regardH995 the godsH430 his fathersH1, norH3808 the desireH2532 of womenH802, norH3808 regardH995 anyH3605 godH430: for he shall magnifyH1431 himselfH1431 aboveH5921 allH3605.
But in his placeH3653 shall he honour the godH433 of fortressesH4581: and a godH433 whomH834 his fathersH1 knewH3045 notH3808 shall he honour with goldH2091, and silverH3701, and with preciousH3368 stonesH68, and pleasant things.
And he shall dealH6213 with the strongestH4581 fortressesH4581 by the help of a strangeH5236 godH433; whosoever acknowledgeth him he will increaseH7235 with gloryH3519: and he shall cause them to ruleH4910 over manyH7227, and shall divideH2505 the landH127 for a priceH4242.
