5Getקְנֵ֣הke.NehH7069wisdomחָ֭כְמָהchokh.mahH2451,getקְנֵ֣הke.NehH7069understandingבִינָ֑הvi.NahH998:forgetתִּשְׁכַּ֥חtish.KachH7911itnot; neither declineתֵּ֝֗טTetH5186from the wordsמֵֽאִמְרֵי־me.'im.rei-H561of my mouthפִֽי׃FiH6310.

6Forsakeתַּעַזְבֶ֥הָta.'az.Ve.haH5800her not, and she shall preserveוְתִשְׁמְרֶ֑ךָּve.tish.me.Re.kaH8104thee: loveאֱהָבֶ֥הָ'e.ha.Ve.haH157her, and she shall keepוְתִצְּרֶֽךָּ׃ve.ti.tze.Re.kaH5341thee.

7Wisdomחָ֭כְמָהchokh.mahH2451isthe principal thingרֵאשִׁ֣יתre.ShitH7225; thereforegetH7069wisdomחָכְמָ֑הchokh.mahH2451:and with all thy gettingקִ֝נְיָנְךָ֗kin.ya.ne.chaH7075get understandingבִינָֽה׃vi.NahH998.

8Exaltסַלְסְלֶ֥הָsal.se.Le.haH5549her, and she shall promoteוּֽתְרוֹמְמֶ֑ךָּu.te.ro.Me.kaH7311thee: she shall bring thee to honourתְּ֝כַבֵּ֗דְךָte.kha.Be.de.khaH3513,when thou dost embraceתְחַבְּקֶֽנָּה׃te.chab.be.Ke.nahH2263her.

9She shall giveתִּתֵּ֣ןti.TenH5414to thine headלְ֭רֹאשְׁךָLe.ro.she.khaH7218an ornamentלִוְיַת־liv.yat-H3880of graceחֵ֑ןChenH2580:a crownעֲטֶ֖רֶת'a.Te.retH5850of gloryתִּפְאֶ֣רֶתtif.'E.retH8597shall she deliverתְּמַגְּנֶֽךָּ׃te.ma.ge.Ne.kaH4042to thee.

10Hearשְׁמַ֣עshe.Ma'H8085,O my sonבְּ֭נִיBe.niH1121,and receiveוְקַ֣חve.KachH3947my sayingsאֲמָרָ֑י'a.ma.RaiH561;and the yearsשְׁנ֣וֹתshe.NotH8141of thy lifeחַיִּֽים׃chai.YimH2416shall be manyוְיִרְבּ֥וּve.yir.BuH7235.

11I have taughtהֹרֵתִ֑יךָho.re.Ti.khaH3384thee in the wayבְּדֶ֣רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870of wisdomחָ֭כְמָהchokh.mahH2451;I have ledהִ֝דְרַכְתִּ֗יךָhid.rakh.Ti.khaH1869thee in rightיֹֽשֶׁר׃Yo.sherH3476pathsבְּמַעְגְּלֵי־be.ma'.ge.lei-H4570.

12When thou goestH3212,thy stepsצַעֲדֶ֑ךָtza.'a.De.khaH6806shall not be straitenedיֵצַ֣רye.TzarH3334;and when thou runnestתָּ֝ר֗וּץta.RutzH7323,thou shalt not stumbleתִכָּשֵֽׁל׃ti.ka.ShelH3782.

13Take fast holdהַחֲזֵ֣קha.cha.ZekH2388of instructionבַּמּוּסָ֣רba.mu.SarH4148; let hernot goתֶּ֑רֶףTe.refH7503:keepנִ֝צְּרֶ֗הָni.tze.Re.haH5341her; for she isthy lifeחַיֶּֽיךָ׃chai.Yei.khaH2416.
