Context of Titus 2:7
5to use good judgment, and to be morally pure. Also, tell them to teach young women to be homemakers, to be kind, and to place themselves under their husbands’ authority. Then no one can speak evil of God’s word. 6Encourage young men to use good judgment. Always set an example by doing good things. When you teach, be an example of moral purity and dignity. 8Speak an accurate message that cannot be condemned. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed because they cannot say anything bad about us. 9Tell slaves who are believers to place themselves under their masters’ authority in everything they do. Tell them to please their masters, not to argue with them

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 7In all things showing thyself a pattern - As the apostle had given directions relative to the conduct of old men, Titus 2:2, of old women, Titus 2:3, of young women, Titus 2:4, and of young men, Titus 2:6, the words , which we translate in all things, should be rather considered in reference to the above persons, and the behavior required in them: showing thyself a pattern of good works to all these persons - being, in sobriety, gravity, temperance, what…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 7In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works - Not merely teaching others, but showing them by example how they ought to live. On the word rendered “pattern” ( ́ tupontype), see the Hebrews 9:5 note; 1 Corinthians 10:6 note; Philemon 3:17 note. In doctrine - In your manner of teaching; notes, 1 Timothy 4:16. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 1-15Sound teaching was especially urgent on account of the false teachers, who had caused problems within "entire households" (1:11). In 2:1–10, Paul addresses different groups within the household of faith, showing his concern for the public testimony of the church (2:5, 8, 10; see also 1 Tim 5:1–6:2). Paul then elaborates on the coming of Christ (Titus 2:11–14) before giving a direct charge to Titus (2:15).Read the comment

All teaching is useless unless the teacher's example confirm his word. in doctrine--in thy ministerial teaching (showing) uncorruptness, that is, untainted purity of motive on thy part (compare 2Co 11:3), so as to be "a pattern" to all. As "gravity," &c., refers to Titus himself, so "uncorruptness"; though, doubtless, uncorruptness of the doctrine will be sure to follow…Read the comment
