Context of Hebrews 10:33
31Falling into the hands of the living God is a terrifying thing. 32Remember the past, when you first learned the truth. You endured a lot of hardship and pain. At times you were publicly insulted and mistreated. At times you associated with people who were treated this way. 34You suffered with prisoners. You were cheerful even though your possessions were stolen, since you know that you have a better and more permanent possession. 35So don’t lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward.

See the note on 1 Corinthians 4:9, where all this is illustrated. Companions of them that were so used - It appears, from 1 Thessalonians 2:14, 1 Thessalonians 2:15, that the Churches of God in Judea were greatly persecuted, and that they believed with courage and constancy in their persecutions.
