So I’m pleased to present my case to you. 11You can verify for yourself that I went to Jerusalem to worship no more than twelve days ago. 12No one found me having a discussion with anyone in the temple courtyard or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues throughout the city.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Then Paul - answered - The apostle's defense consists of two parts: - The exordium, which has for its object the praise of his judge, whose qualifications to discern and decide on a question of this nature he fully allows; and expects, from this circumstance, to have a favorable hearing. The tractation, which consists of two parts: I. Refutation: of the charge of polluting the temple; of stirring up sedition; of being a leader of any sect who had a…Read the comment

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 10-21Verses 10-21 Paul gives a just account of himself, which clears him from crime, and likewise shows the true reason of the violence against him. Let us never be driven from any good way by its having an ill name. This shows there will be a resurrection to a final judgment. Prophets and their doctrines…Read the comment
