Context of Job 9:33
31But then God would throw me down into a dirty hole. Even my own clothes would be ashamed of me! 32God is not a human, as I am. So I cannot answer him. We cannot argue with each other in court. There is nobody who can decide which of us is right. Nobody has authority to judge both of us. 34Nobody can stop God from punishing me. If that were possible, I would not be afraid any more. 35I would speak to God and I would not be afraid. But now I cannot do that.

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 3333. daysman--"mediator," or "umpire"; the imposition of whose hand expresses power to adjudicate between the persons. There might be one on a level with Job, the one party; but Job knew of none on a level with the Almighty, the other party (1Sa 2:25). We Christians know of such a Mediator (not, however, in the sense of umpire) on a level with both--the God-man, Christ Jesus (1Ti 2:5).Read the comment
