44How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and seek not the glory which [comes] from 1God alone?

John 5:44 in other versions

Context of John 5:44

42but I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not; if another come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and seek not the glory which [comes] from God alone? 45Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is [one] who accuses you, Moses, on whom ye trust; 46for if ye had believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me.
