Context of Acts 3:10
8Jumping up, he stood and began walking; and he went with them into the Temple, walking and leaping and praising God! 9Now all the people saw him walking and praising God. They began to realize he was the one who used to sit begging for tzadakah at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple, and they were filled with wonder and astonishment over what had happened to him. 11While he was clinging to Peter and John, all the people together came running toward them in the place called Solomon’s Portico. 12But when Peter saw, he responded to the people, “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us—as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Commentaries on Acts 3:10
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 10-11The Beautiful Gate was probably the Nicanor Gate, made of bronze from the city of Corinth. It was on the east side of the temple (see Josephus, War 5.5.3). It had rich decorations of silver and gold plates on its panels. The gold and silver were heavier and more valuable than the plates on other gates. Solomon’s Colonnade was a covered place to walk on the east side of the temple (see Josephus, War 5.5.1–3; Antiquities 20.9.7).Read the comment
