Revised Version 1895
Obadiah 1:10-17
For the violenceH2555 done to thy brotherH251 JacobH3290 shameH955 shall coverH3680 thee, and thou shalt be cutH3772 offH3772 for everH5769.
In the dayH3117 that thou stoodest on the otherH259 sideH5048, in the dayH3117 that strangersH2114 carriedH7617 awayH7617 his substanceH2428, and foreignersH2114 enteredH935 intoH935 his gatesH8179, and castH3032 lotsH1486 uponH5921 JerusalemH3389, evenH1571 thou wast as one of them.
But lookH7200 notH408 thou on the dayH3117 of thy brotherH251 in the dayH3117 of his disaster, and rejoiceH8055 notH408 over the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 in the dayH3117 of their destructionH6; neitherH408 speakH6310 proudly in the dayH3117 of distressH6869.
EnterH935 notH408 intoH935 the gateH8179 of my peopleH5971 in the dayH3117 of their calamityH343; yea, lookH7200 notH408 thou on their affliction in the dayH3117 of their calamityH343, neitherH1571 layH7971 ye hands on their substanceH2428 in the dayH3117 of their calamityH343.
And standH5975 thou notH408 in the crossway, to cutH3772 offH3772 thoseH5921 of his that escapeH6412; and deliverH5462 notH408 upH5975 thoseH5921 of his that remainH5975 in the dayH3117 of distressH6869.
For the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068 is nearH7138 uponH5921 allH3605 the nationsH1471: as thou hast doneH6213, it shall be doneH6213 unto thee; thy dealing shall returnH7725 uponH5921 thine own headH7218.
For as ye have drunkH8354 uponH5921 my holyH6944 mountainH2022, soH1961 shall allH3605 the nationsH1471 drinkH8354 continuallyH8548, yeaH3588, they shall drinkH8354, and swallow downH8354, and shall be as thoughH3588 they had notH3808 been.
But in mountH2022 ZionH6726 there shall be thoseH853 that escapeH6413, and it shall be holyH6944; and the houseH1004 of JacobH3290 shall possessH3423 their possessionsH4180.
