Nehemiah 9:27-37
Therefore thou deliveredst them intoH413 the handH3027 of their adversaries, who distressed them: and in the time of their troubleH6869, when they criedH6817 unto thee, thou heardest from heavenH8064; and accordingH413 to thy manifold merciesH7356 thou gavest them saviours who savedH3467 them outH413 of the handH3027 of their adversaries.
But after they had restH5117, they didH6213 evilH7451 againH7725 beforeH6440 thee: therefore leftest thou them in the handH3027 of their enemiesH341, soH6213 that they had the dominionH7287 over them: yet when they returnedH7725, and criedH2199 unto thee, thou heardest from heavenH8064; and manyH7227 timesH6256 didst thou deliverH5337 them accordingH3027 to thy merciesH7356;
and testifiedst againstH413 them, that thou mightest bringH7725 them againH7725 unto thy lawH8451: yet they dealtH2102 proudlyH2102, and hearkened notH3808 unto thy commandmentsH4687, but sinnedH2398 againstH413 thy judgmentsH4941, (whichH834 ifH834 a manH120 doH6213, he shall liveH2421 in them,) and withdrewH7725 the shoulderH3802, and hardenedH7185 their neckH6203, and would notH3808 hearH8085.
Yet manyH7227 yearsH8141 didst thou bearH5414 with them, and testifiedst againstH5921 them by thy spiritH7307 throughH3027 thy prophetsH5030: yet would they notH3808 giveH5414 earH238: therefore gavest thou them intoH5921 the handH3027 of the peoplesH5971 of the landsH776.
NeverthelessH3588 in thy manifold merciesH7356 thou didst notH3808 makeH6213 a fullH3617 endH3617 of them, norH3808 forsakeH5800 them; for thou art a graciousH2587 and mercifulH7349 GodH410.
NowH6258 therefore, our GodH430, the greatH1419, the mightyH1368, and the terrible GodH430, who keepest covenantH1285 and mercy, letH408 notH408 allH3605 the travail seemH4591 littleH4591 beforeH6440 thee, that hath comeH4672 upon usH6440, on our kingsH4428, on our princesH8269, and on our priestsH3548, and on our prophetsH5030, and on our fathersH1; and on allH3605 thy peopleH5971, sinceH834 the time of the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804 unto this dayH3117.
Howbeit thou art justH6662 in allH3605 that is comeH935 uponH5921 usH5921; for thou hast dealt trulyH3588, but weH587 have doneH6213 wickedlyH7561:
neitherH3808 have our kingsH4428, our princesH8269, our priestsH3548, norH3808 our fathersH1, keptH6213 thy lawH8451, norH3808 hearkened unto thy commandmentsH4687 and thy testimoniesH5715, wherewith thou didst testify againstH413 them.
For they have notH3808 servedH5647 thee in their kingdomH4438, and in thy greatH7227 goodnessH2898 that thou gavest them, and in the largeH7227 and fat landH776 whichH834 thou gavest beforeH6440 them, neitherH3808 turnedH7725 they from their wickedH7451 worksH5647.
BeholdH2009, weH587 are servantsH5650 this dayH3117, and as for the landH776 that thou gavest unto our fathersH1 to eatH398 the fruitH6529 thereof and the goodH2898 thereof, beholdH2009, weH587 are servantsH5650 in it.
And it yieldeth muchH7235 increaseH7235 unto the kingsH4428 whomH834 thou hast setH5414 over usH5414 becauseH5921 of our sinsH2403: also they have power over our bodiesH1472, and over our cattleH929, at their pleasureH7522, and weH587 are in greatH1419 distressH6869.
