Nehemiah 8:9-15
And NehemiahH5166, whichH1931 was the Tirshatha, and EzraH5830 the priestH3548 the scribeH5608, and the LevitesH3881 that taughtH995 the peopleH5971, saidH559 unto allH3605 the peopleH5971, This dayH3117 is holyH6918 unto the LORDH3068 your GodH430; mournH56 notH408, norH408 weepH1058. For allH3605 the peopleH5971 weptH1058, when they heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the lawH8451.
Then he saidH559 unto them, GoH7971 your wayH7971, eatH398 the fat, and drinkH8354 the sweetH4477, and sendH7971 portionsH4490 unto him for whom nothingH369 is preparedH3559: for this dayH3117 is holyH6918 unto our LordH3068: neitherH369 be ye grievedH6087; for the joyH2304 of the LORDH3068 is your strengthH4581.
SoH3588 the LevitesH3881 stilled allH3605 the peopleH5971, sayingH559, Hold your peace, for the dayH3117 is holyH6918; neitherH408 be ye grievedH6087.
And allH3605 the peopleH5971 went their wayH1697 to eatH398, and to drinkH8354, and to sendH7971 portionsH4490, and to makeH6213 greatH1419 mirthH8057, becauseH3588 they had understoodH995 the wordsH1697 that were declared unto them.
And on the secondH8145 dayH3117 were gatheredH622 togetherH622 the headsH7218 of fathers’H1 houses of allH3605 the peopleH5971, the priestsH3548, and the LevitesH3881, unto EzraH5830 the scribeH5608, even to give attention to the wordsH1697 of the lawH8451.
And they foundH4672 writtenH3789 in the lawH8451, howH834 that the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 by MosesH4872, that the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 should dwellH3427 in boothsH5521 in the feastH2282 of the seventhH7637 monthH2320:
and that they should publish and proclaimH8085 in allH3605 their citiesH5892, and in JerusalemH3389, sayingH559, GoH3318 forthH3318 unto the mountH2022, and fetch oliveH2132 branchesH5929, and branchesH5929 of wild oliveH2132, and myrtleH1918 branchesH5929, and palmH8558 branchesH5929, and branchesH5929 of thick treesH6086, to makeH6213 boothsH5521, as it is writtenH3789.
