Revised Version 1895
Nahum 2:1-7
1He that dasheth in pieces is come upH5921 beforeH5921 thy face: keepH3254 the munition, watchH2009 the wayH3605, makeH3772 thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2For the LORD bringeth againH6440 the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them outH2388, and marred their vine branches.
3The shield of his mighty menH3478 is madeH7725 red, the valiant menH3478 are in scarlet: the chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the spears are shaken terribly.
4The chariotsH7393 rage in the streets, they justle one againstH376 anotherH376 in the broad ways: the appearance of them is like torches, they run like the lightnings.
5He remembereth his worthies: they stumble in their march; they make haste to the wall thereof, and the mantelet is prepared.
6The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.
7And Huzzab is uncovered, she is carried awayH4127, and herH8179 handmaids mourn as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
