Revised Version 1895
Job 2:3-9
3And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto SatanH7854, Hast thou considered my servantH5650 JobH347? for there is noneH369 like him in the earthH776, a perfectH8535 and art uprightH3477 manH376, one that feareth GodH430, and escheweth evilH7451: and he stillH5750 holdeth fastH2388 his integrityH8538, althoughH3588 thou movedst meH413 againstH413 him, to destroyH1104 him withoutH369 causeH2600.
4And SatanH7854 answeredH559 the LORDH3068, and saidH559, SkinH5785 for skinH5785, yea, allH3605 that a manH376 hath will he giveH5414 for his lifeH5315.
5But putH7971 forthH7971 thine handH3027 nowH4994, and touchH5060 his boneH6106 and his fleshH1320, and he will renounce thee to thy faceH6440.
6And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto SatanH7854, BeholdH2005, he is in thine handH3027; onlyH389 spareH8104 his lifeH5315.
7SoH3318 SatanH7854 wentH3318 forthH3318 from the presenceH6440 of the LORDH3068, and smoteH5221 JobH347 with sore boilsH7822 from the soleH3709 of his footH7272 unto his crownH6936.
8And he tookH3947 him a potsherdH2789 to scrapeH1623 himselfH1931 withal; and he satH3427 among the ashesH665.
9Then saidH559 his wifeH802 unto him, Dost thou stillH5750 holdH2388 fastH2388 thine integrityH8538? renounce GodH430, and dieH4191.
