Revised Version 1895
Ezra 10:8-14
8and that whosoever cameH935 notH3808 withinH935 threeH7969 daysH3117, according to the counselH6098 of the princesH8269 and the eldersH2205, allH3605 his substance should be forfeited, and himselfH1931 separatedH914 from the congregationH6951 of the captivity.
9Then allH3605 the menH376 of JudahH3063 and BenjaminH1144 gatheredH6908 themselvesH5921 togetherH6908 unto JerusalemH3389 withinH5921 the threeH7969 daysH3117; it was the ninthH8671 monthH2320, on the twentiethH6242 dayH3117 of the monthH2320: and allH3605 the peopleH5971 satH3427 in the broad placeH1004 beforeH5921 the houseH1004 of GodH430, tremblingH7460 becauseH5921 of this matterH1697, and for the greatH430 rainH1653.
10And EzraH5830 the priestH3548 stoodH6965 upH6965, and saidH559 unto them, Ye have trespassed, and have marriedH802 strange womenH802, to increaseH3254 the guiltH819 of IsraelH3478.
11NowH6258 therefore makeH5414 confessionH8426 unto the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of your fathersH1, and doH6213 his pleasureH7522: and separateH914 yourselves from the peoplesH5971 of the landH776, and from the strange womenH802.
12Then allH3605 the congregationH6951 answeredH559 and saidH559 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963, as thou hast saidH559 concerning usH5921, soH3651 must weH3605 doH6213.
13But the peopleH5971 are manyH7227, and it is a time of muchH7235 rainH1653, and weH3588 are notH3808 able to standH5975 withoutH3808, neitherH3808 is this a workH4399 of one dayH3117 or twoH8147: for weH3588 have greatlyH7235 transgressedH6586 in this matterH1697.
14LetH4994 nowH4994 our princesH8269 be appointedH5975 for allH3605 the congregationH6951, and letH4994 allH3605 them that are in our citiesH5892 whichH834 have marriedH802 strange womenH802 comeH935 at appointedH5975 timesH6256, and with them the eldersH2205 of everyH3605 cityH5892, and the judgesH8199 thereof, untilH5704 the fierceH2740 wrathH639 of our GodH430 be turnedH7725 from usH4994, untilH5704 this matterH1697 be despatched.
