Esther 9:1-19

2the JewsH3064 gatheredH6950 themselvesH7451 togetherH5921 in their citiesH5892 throughoutH3605 allH3605 the provincesH4082 of the kingH4428 AhasuerusH325, to layH7971 handH3027 on suchH3605 as soughtH1245 their hurt: and noH3808 manH376 couldH376 withstandH5975 them; for the fearH6343 of them was fallenH5307 uponH5921 allH3605 the peoplesH5971.

3And allH3605 the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082, and the satrapsH323, and the governorsH6346, and they that didH6213 the king’sH4428 businessH4399, helped the JewsH3064; becauseH3588 the fearH6343 of MordecaiH4782 was fallenH5307 uponH5921 them.

4For MordecaiH4782 was greatH1419 in the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and his fameH8089 wentH1980 forthH1980 throughoutH3605 allH3605 the provincesH4082: for the manH376 MordecaiH4782 waxed greaterH1419 and greaterH1419.

5And the JewsH3064 smoteH5221 allH3605 their enemiesH341 with the stroke of the swordH2719, and with slaughterH4347 and destructionH12, and didH6213 whatH7522 they would unto them that hatedH8130 them.

6And in Shushan the palace the JewsH3064 slewH2026 and destroyedH6 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 menH376.

7And ParshandathaH6577, and DalphonH1813, and AspathaH630,

8and PorathaH6334, and AdaliaH118, and AridathaH743,

9and ParmashtaH6534, and ArisaiH747, and AridaiH742, and VaizathaH2055,

10the tenH6235 sonsH1121 of HamanH2001 the sonH1121 of Hammedatha, the Jews’H3064 enemyH6887, slewH2026 they; but on the spoilH961 they laidH7971 notH3808 their handH3027.

11On that dayH3117 the numberH4557 of thoseH1931 that were slainH2026 in Shushan the palace was broughtH935 beforeH6440 the kingH4428.

12And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto EstherH635 the queenH4436, The JewsH3064 have slainH2026 and destroyedH6 fiveH2568 hundredH3967 menH376 in Shushan the palace, and the tenH6235 sonsH1121 of HamanH2001; whatH4100 then have they doneH6213 in the restH7605 of the king’sH4428 provincesH4082! NowH5414 whatH4100 is thy petitionH7596? and it shall be grantedH5414 thee: or whatH4100 is thy requestH1246 furtherH5750? and it shall be doneH6213.

13Then saidH559 EstherH635, IfH518 it please the kingH4428, letH5414 it be grantedH5414 to the JewsH3064 whichH834 are in Shushan to doH6213 tomorrowH4279 also accordingH5921 unto this day’sH3117 decreeH1881, and letH5414 Haman’sH2001 tenH6235 sonsH1121 be hangedH8518 uponH5921 the gallowsH6086.

14And the kingH4428 commandedH559 it soH3651 to be doneH6213: and a decreeH1881 was givenH5414 outH853 in Shushan; and they hangedH8518 Haman’sH2001 tenH6235 sonsH1121.

15And the JewsH3064 that were in Shushan gatheredH6950 themselvesH6950 togetherH1571 on the fourteenth dayH3117 also of the monthH2320 AdarH143, and slewH2026 threeH7969 hundredH3967 menH376 in Shushan; but on the spoilH961 they laidH7971 notH3808 their handH3027.

16And the other JewsH3064 that were in the king’sH4428 provincesH4082 gatheredH6950 themselvesH5315 togetherH5921, and stoodH5975 for their livesH5315, and had restH7605 from their enemiesH341, and slewH2026 of them that hatedH8130 them seventyH7657 and fiveH2568 thousandH505; but on the spoilH961 they laidH7971 notH3808 their handH3027.

17This was doneH6213 on the thirteenth dayH3117 of the monthH2320 AdarH143; and on the fourteenth dayH3117 of the sameH853 they restedH5117, and madeH6213 it a dayH3117 of feastingH4960 and gladnessH8057.

18But the JewsH3064 that were in Shushan assembledH6950 togetherH6950 on the thirteenth dayH3117 thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth dayH3117 of the sameH853 they restedH5117, and madeH6213 it a dayH3117 of feastingH4960 and gladnessH8057.

19Therefore doH6213 the JewsH3064 of the villagesH6519, that dwellH3427 in the unwalledH6521 townsH5892, makeH6213 the fourteenth dayH3117 of the monthH2320 AdarH143 a dayH3117 of gladnessH8057 and feastingH4960, and a goodH2896 dayH3117, and of sendingH4916 portionsH4490 one to anotherH7453.
