Context of Mark 6:43
41After he took the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed the food. He broke the loaves apart and kept giving them to the disciples to give to the people. He also gave pieces of the two fish to everyone. 42All of them ate as much as they wanted. When they picked up the leftover pieces, they filled twelve baskets with bread and fish. 44There were 5,000 men who had eaten the bread. 45Jesus quickly made his disciples get into a boat and cross to Bethsaida ahead of him while he sent the people away.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 30-44Verses 30-44 Let not ministers do any thing or teach any thing, but what they are willing should be told to their Lord. The people sought the spiritual food of Christ's word, and then he took care that they should not want bodily food. If Christ and his disciples put up with mean things, surely…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 42-44This miracle makes Elisha’s miracle of feeding 100 people with 20 loaves seem less impressive (2 Kings 4:42–44). We should ask ourselves, “Who is this?” (Mark 4:41). He is the Christ, the Son of God (1:1).Read the comment
