Context of Luke 20:27
25He said to them, “Then pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 26They were not able to seize on anything He said in the presence of the people; and being unnerved at His reply, they were silent. Now some of the Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection) came to Him 28and they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us [a law that] if a man’s brother dies, leaving a wife and no children, his brother should marry the wife and raise children for his brother. 29Now there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless.
