Context of Revelation 2:26

24“But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold to this teaching and have not learned the so-called ‘deep things’ of satan—I place on you no other burden. 25Only hold firm to what you have until I come. To the one who overcomes and guards My deeds until the end, ‘I will give him authority over the nations 27and he shall rule them with an iron rod, as when clay pots are broken into pieces.’ 28Even as I have received from My Father, so I will give him the morning star.

• Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 26Power over the nations - Every witness of Christ has power to confute and confound all the false doctrines and maxims of the nations of the world, for Christianity shall at last rule over all; the kingdom of Christ will come, and the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God and of his Christ.Read the comment
• Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 26And he that overcometh - notes on Revelation 2:7. And keepeth my works unto the end - The works that I command and that I require, to the end of his life. Compare John 13:1.
