Ruth 1:1-9
And it cameH1961 to passH1961 in the daysH3117 when the judgesH8199 judgedH8199, that there was a famineH7458 in the landH776. And a certainH376 manH376 of Beth-lehem-judah wentH376 to sojourn in the countryH776 of MoabH4124, he, and his wifeH802, and his twoH8147 sonsH1121.
And the nameH8034 of the manH376 was ElimelechH458, and the nameH8034 of his wifeH802 NaomiH5281, and the nameH8034 of his twoH8147 sonsH1121 MahlonH4248 and ChilionH3630, EphrathitesH673 of Beth-lehem-judah. And they cameH935 intoH935 the countryH7704 of MoabH4124, and continuedH1961 there.
And ElimelechH458 Naomi’sH5281 husbandH376 diedH4191; and sheH1931 was leftH7604, and herH5281 twoH8147 sonsH1121.
And they tookH5375 them wivesH802 of the womenH802 of MoabH4125; the nameH8034 of the one was OrpahH6204, and the nameH8034 of the otherH259 RuthH7327: and they dwelled there aboutH8033 tenH6235 yearsH8141.
And MahlonH4248 and ChilionH3630 diedH4191 bothH8147 of them; and the womanH802 was leftH7604 of herH802 twoH8147 childrenH3206 and of herH802 husbandH376.
Then sheH1931 aroseH6965 with herH5414 daughters in law, that sheH1931 might returnH7725 from the countryH7704 of MoabH4124: for sheH1931 had heardH8085 in the countryH7704 of MoabH4124 howH3588 that the LORDH3068 had visitedH6485 his peopleH5971 in givingH5414 them breadH3899.
And sheH834 wentH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of the placeH4725 whereH834 sheH834 was, and herH413 twoH8147 daughters in law with herH413; and they wentH3318 on the wayH1870 to returnH7725 unto the landH776 of JudahH3063.
And NaomiH5281 saidH559 unto herH802 twoH8147 daughters in law, GoH7725, returnH7725 eachH802 of youH834 to herH802 mother’sH517 houseH1004: the LORDH3068 dealH6213 kindly with youH834 as ye have dealt with the deadH4191, and with meH7725.
The LORDH3068 grantH5414 youH5414 that ye may findH4672 restH4496, eachH376 of youH5414 in the houseH1004 of herH802 husbandH376. Then she kissedH5401 them; and they liftedH5375 upH5375 their voiceH6963, and weptH1058.
