Context of Isaiah 25:12
10The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled in their land as straw is trampled down in the manure. 11They will stretch out their hands in it, as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim. God will bring down their pride despite the cleverness of their hands. He will bring down your high fortified walls and lay them low; he will bring them down to the ground, to the very dust.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 12And the fortress - Thy strong defenses shall be destroyed. This is spoken of Moab (compare the notes at Isaiah 15:1-9; Isaiah 16:1-14), and is designed to be emblematic of the enemies of the people of God (compare the notes at Isaiah 34) The repetition of the expressions bring down,‘ lay low,‘ and bring to the ground,‘ is designed to make the sentence emphatic, and to indicate that it would certainly be accomplished.Read the comment
