Context of Revelation 15:3
1I saw another sign in heaven. It was spectacular and amazing. There were seven angels with the last seven plagues which are the final expression of God’s anger. 2Then I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire. Those who had won the victory over the beast, its statue, and the number of its name were standing on the glassy sea. They were holding God’s harps and singing the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the lamb. They sang, “The things you do are spectacular and amazing, Lord God Almighty. The way you do them is fair and true, King of the Nations. 4Lord, who won’t fear and praise your name? You are the only holy one, and all the nations will come to worship you because they know about your fair judgments.” 5After these things I looked, and I saw that the temple of the tent containing the words of God’s promise was open in heaven.

Commentaries on Revelation 15:3
- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 3They sing the song of Moses - That which Moses sang, Exodus 15:1, when he and the Israelites, by the miraculous power of God, had got safely through the Red Sea, and saw their enemies all destroyed. And the song of the Lamb - The same song adapted to the state of the suffering, but now delivered Christians. Great and marvellous are thy works - God's works are descriptive of his infinite power and wisdom. Lord God Almighty - Nearly the same as Jehovah, God…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God - A song of thanksgiving and praise, such as Moses taught the Hebrew people to sing after their deliverance from Egyptian bondage. See Revelation 5:9-10, Revelation 5:12-13. Saying, Great and marvelous are thy works - See the notes on Revelation 15:1. The meaning is, that great power was evinced in redeeming them; and that the interposition of the divine goodness in doing it was marvelous, or was such as…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 3O Lord God Almighty! (see also Revelation 1:8; 4:8; 11:17; 16:7; 19:6; 21:22): For persecuted Christians, knowing that God is all-powerful brings comfort and security. The fact that God is just and true supports human integrity in a confused, unjust, and dishonest world. God is the supreme, universal King of the nations, not a local deity tied to one nation or a human ruler with limited power.Read the comment

The Churches of the Old and New Testament are essentially one in…Read the comment
