Context of 1 Chronicles 16:34
32The sea and everything in it should shout aloud! The fields and all their crops should shout with joy! 33Then all the trees in the forests will also sing, because they are so happy. They will be happy because the Lord is coming to judge the earth. Thank the Lord, because he is good. His faithful love will always be with us. 35Say to him, ‘God, you are the one who rescues us! Please save us now! Bring us safely home from among the other nations. Then we will thank you! We will shout aloud to praise your holy name.’ 36Praise the Lord, Israel's God, as he deserves! Praise him now and for ever! Then all the people said, ‘Amen! We agree! Praise the Lord!’

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 4-42Verses 4-42 This passage is interposed by the writer of Chronicles between two sentences of the parallel passage in Samuel. It contains a detailed account of the service which David instituted at this time, a service out of which grew the more elaborate service of the temple. The language of much of the passage is remarkably archaic, and there can be no reasonable doubt that it is in the main an extract from a record of the time of David. 1 Chronicles…Read the comment
