Context of Deuteronomy 30:3
1“So it shall be when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind in all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, 2and you have returned to the Lord your God and have listened to and obeyed His voice with all your heart and with all your soul, in accordance with everything that I am commanding you today, you and your children, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes [in your return from exile], and have compassion on you, and will gather you together again from all the peoples (nations) where He has scattered you. 4Even if any of your dispersed are at the ends of the earth, the Lord your God will gather you together from there, and from there He will bring you back. 5The Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it; and He shall make you prosper and multiply—even more than your fathers.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 1-10Verses 1-10 The rejection of Israel and the desolation of the promised inheritance were not to be the end of God‘s dispensations. The closing words of the address therefore are words of comfort and promise. Compare marginal reference and Deuteronomy 4:29 ff; 1 Kings 8:46-50. The chastisements of God would lead the nation to repent, and thereupon God would again bless them. Deuteronomy 30:3 Will turn thy captivity - Will change or put an end to thy state…Read the comment
