Context of Lamentations 5:17
15Joy has ceased in our hearts. Our dance has turned into mourning. 16The crown has fallen from our head. Oy to us, for we have sinned! Because of this our heart is faint, for these things our eyes are dim, 18for Mount Zion, which lies desolate, as jackals prowl over it. 19You, Adonai, are enthroned forever; Your throne endures from generation to generation.
