Revised Version 1895
Amos 5:16-20
16Therefore thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of hostsH6635, the LordH3068: WailingH5092 shall be in allH3605 the broad ways; and they shall sayH559 in allH3605 the streetsH2351, AlasH1930! alasH1930! and they shall callH7121 the husbandman to mourningH60, and suchH3651 as are skilful of lamentationH4553 to wailingH5092.
17And in allH3605 vineyardsH3754 shall be wailingH4553: for I will passH5674 throughH5674 the midstH7130 of thee, saith the LORDH3068.
18WoeH1945 unto youH3117 that desireH183 the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068! wherefore would ye have the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068? it is darknessH2822, and notH3808 lightH216.
19As ifH834 a manH376 didH834 fleeH5127 from a lionH738, and a bearH1677 metH6293 him; or wentH935 intoH935 the houseH1004 and leanedH5564 his handH3027 on the wallH7023, and a serpentH5175 bit him.
20Shall notH3808 the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068 be darknessH2822, and notH3808 lightH216? evenH3808 very darkH2822, and noH3808 brightnessH5051 in it?
