Context of Ezekiel 15:7
5Vines are useless both before and after being put into the fire! 6“And this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Jerusalem are like grapevines growing among the trees of the forest. Since they are useless, I have thrown them on the fire to be burned. And I will see to it that if they escape from one fire, they will fall into another. When I turn against them, you will know that I am the Lord. 8And I will make the land desolate because my people have been unfaithful to me. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 7They shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them - If they escape the sword, they shall perish by the famine; if they escape the famine, they shall be led away captives. To escape will be impossible. It will be to them according to the proverb: - Incidit in Scyllam, cupiens vitare Charybdim. "Out of the scald, into the flame."Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 7They shall go out - Rather, they have gone forth from the fire, and the fire shall devour them. The condition of the people is here depicted. The people of Israel - as a whole and as separate kingdoms - had become worthless. The branch torn from the living stem had truly been cast into the fire, which had devoured both ends of it; what remained was a brand plucked from the burning. Those who had escaped the general calamity were reserved for a like…Read the comment

But those who escaped that disaster would soon face another one. This second fire refers to the final destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC. In other words, escaping…Read the comment
