Context of Job 36:4
2‘Be patient a little bit longer, so that I can teach you some more. I still have more to say to show you that God is right. 3I will tell you the many different things that I know. I will show you that God, my Maker, is completely fair. Everything that I say to you is true. I am speaking to you as someone who knows everything. 5God is very powerful but he does not turn anyone away. When he decides to do something, he surely does it. 6He does not allow wicked people to continue to live. But he is always fair to those who are poor and weak.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 4My words shall not be false - My words shall be truth without falsity. He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee - "The perfection of knowledge is with thee." Thou art a sensible, well-informed man, and will be able to judge of what I say.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 4For truly my words shall not be false - This is designed to conciliate attention. It is a professed purpose to state nothing but truth. Even in order to vindicate the ways of God he would state nothing but what would bear the most rigid examination. Job had charged on his friends a purpose “to speak wickedly for God;” to make use of unsound arguments in vindicating his cause, (see the notes at Job 13:7-8), and Elihu now says that “he” will make use of no…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 44. I will not "speak wickedly for God," as the friends (Job 13:4, 7, 8)--that is, vindicate God by unsound arguments. he that is perfect, &c.--Rather, as the parallelism requires, "a man of integrity in sentiments is with thee" (is he with whom thou hast to do).
