Context of Matthew 12:32
30He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters. 31For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men. And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming [one]. 33Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. For from the fruit the tree is known. 34Offspring of vipers! how can ye speak good things, being wicked? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 32Neither in this world, neither in the world to come - Though I follow the common translation, yet I am fully satisfied the meaning of the words is, neither in this dispensation, (viz. the Jewish), nor in that which is to come, viz. the Christian. הבא עולם olam ha -ba, the world to come, is a constant phrase for the times of the Messiah in the Jewish writers. See below. The sin here spoken of by our Lord ranks high in the catalogue of presumptuous sins…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 31-32Verses 31-32 Here is a gracious assurance of the pardon of all sin upon gospel terms. Christ herein has set an example to the sons of men, to be ready to forgive words spoken against them. But humble and conscientious believers, at times are tempted to think they have committed the unpardonable sin, while those who have come the nearest to it, seldom have any fear about it. We may be sure that those who indeed repent and believe the gospel, have not…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 32God can forgive people who are confused about Jesus calling himself the "Son of Man." But, God will not forgive a person that says the Holy Spirit's work comes from Satan. Today, this is like completely rejecting the conviction of the Holy Spirit about Jesus. This refers to when an unbeliever ultimately rejects the good news about Jesus (see Hebrews 6:4–6; 1 John 5:16–21).Read the comment

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come--In Mark the language is awfully strong, "hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation" (Mr 3:20)--or rather, according to what appears to be the preferable though very unusual reading, "in danger of eternal guilt"--a guilt which…Read the comment
