The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” Jesus replied to them, “Have faith in God. 23Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for — believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

• Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 22Have faith in God - Ϛ is a mere Hebraism: have the faith of God, i.e. have strong faith, or the strongest faith, for thus the Hebrews expressed the superlative degree; so the mountains of God mean exceeding great mountains - the hail of God, exceeding great hail, etc.Read the comment

The judgment of the temple is the main focus in 11:12–25. Mark 12:9 will mention it again, and 13:1–37 describes it in detail. The reference to destroying the temple would later be raised at the trial (14:58) and crucifixion (15:29) of Jesus.Read the comment
