Context of Mark 5:6
4For he had often been bound with shackles [for the feet] and with chains, and he tore apart the chains and broke the shackles into pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue and tame him. 5Night and day he was constantly screaming and shrieking among the tombs and on the mountains, and cutting himself with [sharp] stones. Seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him [in homage]; 7and screaming with a loud voice, he said, “What business do we have in common with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God [swear to me], do not torment me!” 8For Jesus had been saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 6-8Despite the man's terrible condition, the arrival of Jesus gave him hope. He ran and knelt before Jesus, asking for help. Son of the Most High God: Evil spirits know who Jesus really is (1:24, 34; 3:11). There was no struggle. Jesus was in control, and the unclean spirit obeyed him. Torture is the final judgment awaiting unclean spirits (Matthew 8:29; Luke 8:31).Read the comment
