Context of Isaiah 30:9
7Egypt’s help is futile and pointless. Therefore I have called her “Rahab who just sits.” 8Now go, write it on a tablet for them and inscribe it in a scroll, so that it may be as a witness for the last day, forever. For this is a rebellious people, lying children, children unwilling to obey the Torah of Adonai. 10They say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right. Speak to us smooth words. Prophesy illusions. 11Get out of the way! Turn away from the path! Let’s hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
