1And YhwhH3068 spakeH1696 unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 2AvengeH5360H5358 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 of the MidianitesH4084: afterwardH310 shalt thou be gatheredH622 unto thy peopleH5971. 3And MosesH4872 spakeH1696 unto the peopleH5971, sayingH559, ArmH2502 someH582 of yourselves unto the warH6635, and let them go against the MidianitesH4080, and avengeH5360H5414 YhwhH3068 of MidianH4080. 4Of every tribeH4294 a thousandH505, throughout all the tribesH4294 of IsraelH3478, shall ye sendH7971 to the warH6635.1 5So there were deliveredH4560 out of the thousandsH505 of IsraelH3478, a thousandH505 of every tribeH4294, twelveH6240H8147 thousandH505 armedH2502 for warH6635. 6And MosesH4872 sentH7971 them to the warH6635, a thousandH505 of every tribeH4294, them and PhinehasH6372 the sonH1121 of EleazarH499 the priestH3548, to the warH6635, with the holyH6944 instrumentsH3627, and the trumpetsH2689 to blowH8643 in his handH3027. 7And they warredH6633 against the MidianitesH4080, as YhwhH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872; and they slewH2026 all the malesH2145. 8And they slewH2026 the kingsH4428 of MidianH4080, besideH5921 the rest of them that were slainH2491; namely, EviH189, and RekemH7552, and ZurH6698, and HurH2354, and RebaH7254, fiveH2568 kingsH4428 of MidianH4080: BalaamH1109 also the sonH1121 of BeorH1160 they slewH2026 with the swordH2719. 9And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 took all the womenH802 of MidianH4080 captivesH7617, and their little onesH2945, and took the spoilH962 of all their cattleH929, and all their flocksH4735, and all their goodsH2428. 10And they burntH8313 all their citiesH5892 wherein they dweltH4186, and all their goodly castlesH2918, with fireH784. 11And they tookH3947 all the spoilH7998, and all the preyH4455, both of menH120 and of beastsH929. 12And they broughtH935 the captivesH7628, and the preyH4455, and the spoilH7998, unto MosesH4872, and EleazarH499 the priestH3548, and unto the congregationH5712 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, unto the campH4264 at the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124, which are by JordanH3383 near JerichoH3405.

13And MosesH4872, and EleazarH499 the priestH3548, and all the princesH5387 of the congregationH5712, went forthH3318 to meetH7125 them withoutH2351 the campH4264. 14And MosesH4872 was wrothH7107 with the officersH6485 of the armyH2428, with the captainsH8269 over thousandsH505, and captainsH8269 over hundredsH3967, which cameH935 fromH6635 the battleH4421.2 15And MosesH4872 saidH559 unto them, Have ye savedH2421 all the womenH5347 aliveH2421? 16Behold, theseH2007 causedH1961 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, through the counselH1697 of BalaamH1109, to commitH4560 trespassH4604 against YhwhH3068 in the matterH1697 of PeorH6465, and there was a plagueH4046 among the congregationH5712 of YhwhH3068. 17Now therefore killH2026 every maleH2145 among the little onesH2945, and killH2026 every womanH802 that hath knownH3045 manH376 by lyingH4904 with himH2145.3 18But all the womenH802 childrenH2945, that have not knownH3045 a manH2145 by lyingH4904 with him, keep aliveH2421 for yourselves. 19And do ye abideH2583 withoutH2351 the campH4264 sevenH7651 daysH3117: whosoever hath killedH2026 any personH5315, and whosoever hath touchedH5060 any slainH2491, purifyH2398 both yourselves and your captivesH7628 on the thirdH7992 dayH3117, and on the seventhH7637 dayH3117. 20And purifyH2398 all your raimentH899, and all that is madeH3627 of skinsH5785, and all workH4639 of goats’H5795 hair, and all things madeH3627 of woodH6086.4
