Jeremiah 8:13-17
13I will surelyH622 consumeH5486 them, saithH5002 YhwhH3068: there shall be no grapesH6025 on the vineH1612, nor figsH8384 on the fig treeH8384, and the leafH5929 shall fadeH5034; and the things that I have givenH5414 them shall pass awayH5674 from them.1 14Why do we sit stillH3427? assembleH622 yourselves, and let us enterH935 into the defencedH4013 citiesH5892, and let us be silentH1826 there: for YhwhH3068 our GodH430 hath put us to silenceH1826, and given us waterH4325 of gallH7219 to drinkH8248, because we have sinnedH2398 against YhwhH3068.2 15We lookedH6960 for peaceH7965, but no goodH2896 came; and for a timeH6256 of healthH4832, and behold troubleH1205! 16The snortingH5170 of his horsesH5483 was heardH8085 from DanH1835: the whole landH776 trembledH7493 at the soundH6963 of the neighingH4684 of his strong onesH47; for they are comeH935, and have devouredH398 the landH776, and allH4393 that is in it; the cityH5892, and those that dwellH3427 therein.3 17For, behold, I will sendH7971 serpentsH5175, cockatricesH6848, among you, which will not be charmedH3908, and they shall biteH5391 you, saithH5002 YhwhH3068.
