Jeremiah 44:7-19

7Therefore now thus saithH559 YhwhH3068, the GodH430 of ArmiesH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Wherefore commitH6213 ye this greatH1419 evilH7451 against your soulsH5315, to cut offH3772 from you manH376 and womanH802, childH5768 and sucklingH3243, outH8432 of JudahH3063, to leaveH3498 you none to remainH7611;1 8In that ye provoke me unto wrathH3707 with the worksH4639 of your handsH3027, burning incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, whither ye be goneH935 to dwellH1481, that ye might cut yourselves offH3772, and that ye might be a curseH7045 and a reproachH2781 among all the nationsH1471 of the earthH776? 9Have ye forgottenH7911 the wickednessH7451 of your fathersH1, and the wickednessH7451 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, and the wickednessH7451 of their wivesH802, and your own wickednessH7451, and the wickednessH7451 of your wivesH802, which they have committedH6213 in the landH776 of JudahH3063, and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389?2 10They are not humbledH1792 even unto this dayH3117, neither have they fearedH3372, nor walkedH1980 in my lawH8451, nor in my statutesH2708, that I setH5414 beforeH6440 you and beforeH6440 your fathersH1.3

11Therefore thus saithH559 YhwhH3068 of ArmiesH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Behold, I will setH7760 my faceH6440 against you for evilH7451, and to cut offH3772 all JudahH3063. 12And I will takeH3947 the remnantH7611 of JudahH3063, that have setH7760 their facesH6440 to goH935 into the landH776 of EgyptH4714 to sojournH1481 there, and they shall all be consumedH8552, and fallH5307 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714; they shall even be consumedH8552 by the swordH2719 and by the famineH7458: they shall dieH4191, from the leastH6996 even unto the greatestH1419, by the swordH2719 and by the famineH7458: and they shall be an execrationH423, and an astonishmentH8047, and a curseH7045, and a reproachH2781. 13For I will punishH6485 them that dwellH3427 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, as I have punishedH6485 JerusalemH3389, by the swordH2719, by the famineH7458, and by the pestilenceH1698: 14So that none of the remnantH7611 of JudahH3063, which are goneH935 into the landH776 of EgyptH4714 to sojournH1481 there, shall escapeH6412 or remainH8300, that they should returnH7725 into the landH776 of JudahH3063, to the which they haveH5375 a desireH5315 to returnH7725 to dwellH3427 there: for none shall returnH7725 but such as shall escapeH6405.4

15Then all the menH582 which knewH3045 that their wivesH802 had burned incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430, and all the womenH802 that stood byH5975, a greatH1419 multitudeH6951, even all the peopleH5971 that dweltH3427 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, in PathrosH6624, answeredH6030 JeremiahH3414, sayingH559, 16As for the wordH1697 that thou hast spokenH1696 unto us in the nameH8034 of YhwhH3068, we will not hearkenH8085 unto thee. 17But we will certainlyH6213 doH6213 whatsoever thingH1697 goeth forthH3318 out of our own mouthH6310, to burn incenseH6999 unto the queenH4446 of heavenH8064, and to pour outH5258 drink offeringsH5262 unto her, as we have doneH6213, we, and our fathersH1, our kingsH4428, and our princesH8269, in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389: for then had we plentyH7646 of victualsH3899, and were wellH2896, and sawH7200 no evilH7451.56 18But since we left offH2308 to burn incenseH6999 to the queenH4446 of heavenH8064, and to pour outH5258 drink offeringsH5262 unto her, we have wantedH2637 all things, and have been consumedH8552 by the swordH2719 and by the famineH7458. 19And when we burned incenseH6999 to the queenH4446 of heavenH8064, and poured outH5258 drink offeringsH5262 unto her, did we makeH6213 her cakesH3561 to worshipH6087 her, and pour outH5258 drink offeringsH5262 unto her, withoutH1107 our menH582?7
