Jeremiah 44:2-7

2Thus saithH559 YhwhH3068 of ArmiesH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Ye have seenH7200 all the evilH7451 that I have broughtH935 upon JerusalemH3389, and upon all the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063; and, behold, this dayH3117 they are a desolationH2723, and no man dwellethH3427 therein,

3BecauseH6440 of their wickednessH7451 which they have committedH6213 to provoke me to angerH3707, in that they wentH3212 to burn incenseH6999, and to serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430, whom they knewH3045 not, neither they, ye, nor your fathersH1.

4Howbeit I sentH7971 unto you all my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, rising earlyH7925 and sendingH7971 them, sayingH559, Oh, doH6213 not this abominableH8441 thingH1697 that I hateH8130.

5But they hearkenedH8085 not, nor inclinedH5186 their earH241 to turnH7725 from their wickednessH7451, to burn no incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430.

6Wherefore my furyH2534 and mine angerH639 was poured forthH5413, and was kindledH1197 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389; and they are wastedH2723 and desolateH8077, as at this dayH3117.

7Therefore now thus saithH559 YhwhH3068, the GodH430 of ArmiesH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Wherefore commitH6213 ye this greatH1419 evilH7451 against your soulsH5315, to cut offH3772 from you manH376 and womanH802, childH5768 and sucklingH3243, outH8432 of JudahH3063, to leaveH3498 you none to remainH7611;1
