Genesis 11:2-9

2And it came to pass, as they journeyedH5265 from the eastH6924, that they foundH4672 a plainH1237 in the landH776 of ShinarH8152; and they dweltH3427 there.1

3And they saidH559 oneH376 to anotherH7453, Go toH3051, let us makeH3835 brickH3843, and burnH8313 them throughlyH8316. And they had brickH3843 for stoneH68, and pitchH2564 hadH1961 they for morterH2563.23

4And they saidH559, Go toH3051, let us buildH1129 us a cityH5892 and a towerH4026, whose topH7218 may reach unto heavenH8064; and let us makeH6213 us a nameH8034, lest we be scattered abroadH6327 upon the faceH6440 of the whole earthH776.

5And YhwhH3068 came downH3381 to seeH7200 the cityH5892 and the towerH4026, which the childrenH1121 of menH120 buildedH1129.

6And YhwhH3068 saidH559, Behold, the peopleH5971 is oneH259, and they have all oneH259 languageH8193; and this they beginH2490 to doH6213: and now nothingH3605H3808 will be restrainedH1219 from them, which they have imaginedH2161 to doH6213.

7Go toH3051, let us go downH3381, and there confoundH1101 their languageH8193, thatH834 they may not understandH8085 oneH376 another’sH7453 speechH8193.

8So YhwhH3068 scattered them abroadH6327 from thenceH8033 upon the faceH6440 of all the earthH776: and they left offH2308 to buildH1129 the cityH5892.

9Therefore is the name of itH8034 calledH7121 BabelH894; because YhwhH3068 did there confoundH1101 the languageH8193 of all the earthH776: and from thence didH6327 YhwhH3068 scatter them abroadH6327 upon the faceH6440 of all the earthH776.4
