Context of Psalms 132:13
11The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back: “I will place one of your descendants on your throne. 12If your descendants obey the terms of my covenant and the laws that I teach them, then your royal line will continue forever and ever.” For the Lord has chosen Jerusalem; he has desired it for his home. 14“This is my resting place forever,” he said. “I will live here, for this is the home I desired. 15I will bless this city and make it prosperous; I will satisfy its poor with food.

This is a new plea or argument, and shows that the psalm had reference to Zion or Jerusalem, as then in danger, or as having been in danger. See the notes at Psalm 48:1-2. He hath desired it for his habitation - A place where to abide. Its had selected this as the permanent place of his worship.Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 11-18Verses 11-18 The Lord never turns from us when we plead the covenant with his anointed Prophet, Priest, and King.
