Commentaries on 1 Chronicles 14:3
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 1-7Although the ark was not in Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 13:1–14), God blessed David's palace, his children, and his victory over the Philistines. God's blessing did not rely on the ark's presence. These blessings eventually motivated David to follow through with his original plan to bring the ark into Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 15:1–29).Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 33. David took more wives at Jerusalem--(See on 2Sa 3:5). His concubines are mentioned (1Ch 3:9), where also is given a list of his children (1Ch 14:5-8), and those born in Jerusalem (2Sa 5:14-16). In that, however, the names of Eliphalet and Nogah do not occur, and Beeliada appears to be the same as Eliada. 1Ch 14:8-17. His Victories over the Philistines.Read the comment
