Context of Psalms 119:117
115Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God! 116Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees. 118You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their delusions come to nothing. 119All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes.

The Septuagint is, “Aid me.” And I shall be safe - And I shall be saved; or, that I may be saved. It is an acknowledgment of entire dependence on God for salvation - temporal and eternal. And I will have respect - I will look to thy statutes; I will have them always in my eye. Compare the notes at Psalm 119:6.Read the comment
