Context of Psalms 68:10
8the earth shakes, yes, the heavens pour down rain before God, the God of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. 9O God, you cause abundant showers to fall on your chosen people. When they are tired, you sustain them, for you live among them. You sustain the oppressed with your good blessings, O God. 11The Lord speaks; many, many women spread the good news. 12Kings leading armies run away – they run away! The lovely lady of the house divides up the loot.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Thy congregation hath dwelt therein - חיתך chaiyathecha, thy living creature; , Septuagint; animalia, Vulgate; so all the Versions. Does not this refer to the quails that were brought to the camp of the Israelites, and dwelt, as it were, round about it? And was not this, with the manna and the refreshing rock, that goodness which God had provided for the poor - the needy Israelites?Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 10Thy congregation hath dwelt therein - In the land of promise; for the connection requires us to understand it in this manner. The idea of the writer all along pertains to that land, and to the mercy which God had shown to it. After showing by an historical reference what God had done for the people in the wilderness, he returns here, though without expressly mentioning it, to the land of promise, and to what God had done there for his people. If God bring his people into a wilderness, he will be sure to go before them in it, and to bring them out of it. He provided for them, both in the wilderness and in Canaan. The daily manna seems here meant. And it looks to the spiritual provision for God's Israel. The Spirit of grace and the gospel of grace are the plentiful rain, with which God confirms his inheritance, and from which…Read the comment
