Context of Job 19:4
2“How long will you torment me and depress me with words? 3You have insulted me ten times now. You’re not even ashamed of mistreating me. Even if it were true that I’ve made a mistake without realizing it, my mistake would affect only me. 5If you are trying to make yourselves look better than me by using my disgrace as an argument against me, 6then I want you to know that God has wronged me and surrounded me with his net.

Why then do ye treat me as a person whose life has been a general blot, and whose example must be a public curse?Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 4And be it indeed that I have erred - Admitting that I have erred, it is my own concern. You have a right to reproach and revile me in this manner.
